I’m Mimi Jordan-Mfolo, a Psychological Practitioner, Mental Health Consultant, and Corporate Wellness Specialist devoted to making mental health care accessible, transformative, and deeply human.
Registered with the HPCSA and holding a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), I bring professional expertise across counselling, workplace wellness, and perinatal mental health. Through my practice at
Mimi Jordan Counselling, I walk alongside individuals, couples, parents, and corporate teams, offering an integrated approach that draws from Solution-Focused Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Psychoanalytic Methods, and Faith-Based Counselling.
My passion areas include scholastic assessments, trauma-informed care, grief counselling, and guiding parents through co-parenting challenges, always with sensitivity, compassion, and practical strategies for real change.

Mental Health
As a fierce advocate for maternal mental health, I collaborate with gynecologists, maternity wards, and antenatal care providers to support mothers through every stage, from pregnancy to postpartum. I specialise in addressing postnatal depression, birthing trauma, perinatal anxiety, grief after miscarriage or infant loss, and postpartum psychosis, providing both emotional and somatic healing pathways.
Certified as a Trauma-Informed Perinatal Coach and a Somatic Mind-Body Healing Practitioner, I offer holistic care that nurtures both the mind and the body, helping clients process trauma, rebuild emotional resilience, and reconnect to themselves with strength and hope.

Beyond the therapy room, I am a Contributor to the
Dis-Chem’s Parent and Child Magazine and a Speaker on topics such as maternal mental health, trauma recovery, self-care, and workplace well-being.
Advocacy, education, and empowerment are central to my work, because mental health deserves to be prioritised in every space, from boardrooms to birthing rooms.
